Radio Free Entertainment Interviews Chelsea Staub
Radio Free Entertainment met with Chelsea Staub to talk about “Bratz,” breaking into show business, and becoming a part of the Disney family including her new show, “JONAS!”
As is often the case with actresses who play the mean girl, Chelsea is not only sweeter than her onscreen alter-ego, but also exceptionally friendly by any other standard. “The part that I loved about Meredith,” Chelsea says, “is that I was able to play the villain and not feel bad about it.”
Riding an elephant for “Bratz” was no small feat, and Chelsea chose to do it herself without the use of a stunt double. Chelsea reflects that, “it was funny to be in heels and a dress and trying to wave like a princess while my other arm is keeping me on this elephant. But she was so sweet when it came down to it.”When asked about breaking into the business, Chelsea shares that her parents actually wanted her to get a ‘normal’ job since they knew how difficult show business was to get into. “My parents let me come out to L.A. during my fall break to try auditioning in L.A. so I could see how hard it was. And I booked a job. [laughs] So then we had to move out.”
Chelsea’s opinion of the Jonas Brothers’ and their fans is that “they're so supportive of the boys, and the boys are just the nicest guys you'll ever meet. They're so sweet. And I just hope the girls realize that I love the Jonas Brothers as much as they do. [laughs] And I'm a fan too.”Source: Radiofree.com / Chelsea Staub
